4 weeks or more before the start of the semester: full refund
2 – 3 weeks before the start of the semester: 50% refund
Less than 2 week before the start of the semester: no refund
Please note: There will be no refunds granted in the event that the COVID-19 situation requires us to move all students to a virtual class model. Our current COVID-19 protocol is the following:
- Each class of students will be considered a pod. These pods are contained together during activities throughout the day.
- If a student tests positive, all students in that pod and the learning specialist will be considered a “close contact” and transition to virtual learning.
- If a learning specialist tests positive, all in-person classes will transition to virtual learning.
- If a family or household member of a student or learning specialist exhibits symptoms and is being tested, the student must not attend in-person class. The student must be quarantined until the results of the family or household member returns.
- If a family or household member receives a postive test result, the student is now considered a “close contact” and must quarantine for 14 days. The student must be symptom-free and receive a negative test result before returning to homeschool.
- If the family or household member receives a negative test result, the student is not considered a “close contact” and may return to in-person class.
Our current social distancing policy is the following:
- Six feet distance between students within each pod will be maintained as much as possible while in the classroom.
- Face masks will be worn at all times.
- Designated seating and a seating chart will be maintained for contact tracing
- Hands will be washed frequently, face touching will not be allowed, and areas will be cleaned and disinfected regularly.

Meet our instructors!
Jason Moeller
Hi! My name is Jason Moeller, and I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri. I first found my passion for teaching science there, as a summer camp counselor at the St. Louis Zoo. I graduated from Indiana University (go Hoosiers!) in 2009, and stayed an extra year to earn my teaching credential. I worked as the School Programs Coordinator at Zoo Knoxville from 2010 to 2016, where one of my main responsibilities was teaching their Homeschool program. After my wife and I moved to Nashville in 2016, I joined the Adventure Science Center, and started the Lyceum here in 2017. The thing I love the most about the Science Center is the wide range of different sciences I get to teach about! While I have a special love for herpetology (snakes are my favorite, and I volunteer at Nashville Zoo on the weekends), I also love sports science (My other hobby is being a hockey goaltender), natural disasters, aircraft, and oceanography. I can’t wait to see where this semester takes us!

Rae Robeson
Hello! My name is Rae Robeson and I am thrilled to be joining the Adventure Science Center team! Originally from Nashville, TN, I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Media Communications with minors in Theatre and Dance. In 2016, I moved to Chicago and taught and developed Dance programming for Chicago Public Schools. In 2019, I expanded my teaching into my own Preschool class at a private school, where I oversaw after school programming in Science, Storytelling, Art, and Puppetry. I love finding and developing new and creative ways to teach Math and Science. I am excited to be back home in Nashville and I look forward to a fun semester!
